When you are holding a company event, it's always a nice gesture to give your guests goodies to take home. It shows them that you appreciate their attendance and want to provide them with items they can use. Plus, if the products in the bag are branded with your company logo, guests will remember your business and may buy your products or services in the future. Here are four tips for making your swag bags a success:<\/p>\n

"Swag bags won't make a big impact if the design is boring."<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

1. Choose a unique bag design<\/strong>
\nEven if they are filled with the greatest promotional products in the world, your swag bags won't make much of an impact if the design is boring. Instead of making the bag a solid color, come up with an interesting design that will surprise your attendees. If you want to include your company's logo on the bag, make sure it fits the bag's aesthetic and doesn't look like it was just placed on. <\/p>\n

2. Fill the bags with items attendees can use during the event<\/strong>
\nWhen deciding on what types of items to put in swag bags, Caitlin McCabe, CEO of Real Bullets Branding, recommends thinking about what attendees will need at the event<\/a> but may have forgotten to bring. For instance, if you are hosting an outdoor event, branded water bottles<\/a> are excellent choices. Your attendees will appreciate these bottles when they are dying of thirst and may be more likely to remember your brand. If you know the attendees will be taking down notes during the event, provide them with branded notebooks and pens. <\/p>\n

3. Select seasonal swag<\/strong>
\nSince many businesses hand out promotional items that can be used at any time of the year, stand out by providing seasonal products in your swag bags. For example, if you are holding an event during the summer, HubSpot suggests handing out items like beach towels, frisbees and flip flops<\/a>. If attendees bring these products to public places, like beaches and parks, other people may ask them where they got the items. Winter events call for promotional products like beanies or ice scrapers. <\/p>\n

4. Deliver swags bags correctly<\/strong> 
\nThe way you hand out swag bags during an event is critical. If you just give these bags to attendees as they're walking out the door without mentioning anything about your company, these prospective clients may not be as likely to remember your brand. If possible, see that your staff members are dressed in branded clothes and deliver the swag bags with enthusiasm. Also instruct your team to briefly talk about your company's products and hand out business cards to attendees. <\/p>\n
