What we find interesting is that we actually see this kind of activity and thinking all year round now. There was a time when promised made on Earth Day were a bit like New Year\u2019s resolutions\u2026 honest intent, poor follow through. But times have changed and being aware of our impact is more crucial than ever.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past year, we have published multiple articles on ways you can help minimize your impact. Some of these are direct action, others are less so. But all are the result of people being concerned about the environment year round.<\/p>\n<p>One of the aspects of going green is to re-use. In this piece from last summer, we point out a few things that companies can purchase for the office or their employees that replace items that are usually discarded after each use. The overarching message\u00a0is to look around your business and find those items that are used once and then discarded and try to replace them with a permanent item. For companies following this path, they help the environment by greenhouse gas reductions and lower carbon footprint. But, you need to be sure you keep the remote employees engaged. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipromo.com\/blog\/keeping-your-remote-employees-engaged\/\">We shared some ideas to do this here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes we look at how <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipromo.com\/promo-products\/20074\/Best-Sellers.html\">promotional items<\/a> can help the environment, but in this case, environmental concerns actually help promotional items. In particular, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipromo.com\/promo-products\/113\/Grocery-Shopping-Bags.html\">grocery totes<\/a>. When <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipromo.com\/blog\/plastic-bag-bans-could-be-a-boon-for-promotional-items\/\">cities initiated bans<\/a> on plastic bags, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipromo.com\/promo-products\/104\/Bags--and--Sacks.html\">branded bags<\/a> became an even more valuable marketing tool.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to articles about the environment, we also market promotional items that can lower the impact on the environment. Our latest is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipromo.com\/promo-item\/USB-ECOCOR-NAT\/Eco-USB-Flash-Drive---Natural.html\">Cork USB Flash Drive<\/a>. We think it\u2019s pretty fun and happens to have a case made of renewable material.<\/p>\n<p>Looking back over the year, we see that these pieces were created because our customers and the business world, in general, are looking for ways to reduce their impact on the environment.
