Trade show giveaways have one job: give someone a reason to stop, then keep your name in front of them after the show. Most of what gets handed out fails the second part. It goes into a tote bag, then into a drawer, then into the trash.
The items that survive are the useful ones. In the ASI 2026/2027 Global Advertising Impressions Study, 78% of U.S. consumers said they keep a promotional item because it is useful to have. Everything on this page is picked with that in mind, and every product can be printed with your logo and ordered in bulk.
Below you will find our top picks, how to split your budget across different booth visitors, what each category delivers per dollar, and how long production really takes.

How ordering works
Work back from your event date. The date that matters most is when you approve your proof.

Don't pack power banks or speakers in your team's luggage. FAA rules bar flying with batteries meant for distribution, so we ship them to the show.

What makes a trade show giveaway worth paying for
Think about where the item will be a month after the show. A notebook on a desk, a cable in a laptop bag and a bottle on the counter all keep your logo in front of someone. Candy and novelty toys do not. According to the ASI 2026/2027 Global Advertising Impressions Study, a promotional product generates an average of 3,300 impressions over its life, at an average cost of 6/10 of a cent per impression. That average only holds if the item gets used.
It also helps to match the giveaway to the audience. A crowd of developers will use a webcam cover and a cable set. A retail crowd judges quality, so a good pen or a name-brand bottle lands better than a pile of cheap items. Our event guides for CES and NRF go into this for specific shows.
Split your budget across three kinds of visitors
The booths that get the most from their giveaways do not hand the same thing to everyone. Keep a low-cost item like pens, webcam covers or PopGrips on the counter for anyone who walks by. Have a mid-priced item, such as a cable set or notebook, for people who scan a badge or watch a demo. Then hold back a few premium items, like an Anker power bank or a Stanley tumbler, for the meetings that matter.
This keeps your budget where the leads are. It also gives your booth staff an easy way to start the conversation that leads to a badge scan.
Which categories give you the most impressions per dollar
The ASI study breaks impressions down by category. Bags lead with about 4,900 impressions over their life at 1/10 of a cent each, which is why a branded tote is such a common booth item. Writing instruments earn about 1,900 impressions, also at 1/10 of a cent. Drinkware earns about 1,300 impressions at around 1 cent each, but it is the item people tend to keep for years. Mobile power banks come in at 7/10 of a cent per impression.
The same study asked what people are most excited to receive. T-shirts topped the list at 55%, with bags and drinkware both at 41% and power banks at 34%. If your show runs several days, apparel your team and your best contacts will wear is worth a look too. See our quick ship apparel for faster options.
Lead times for trade show giveaways
Production starts when you approve your proof. For the picks above, the PopSockets PopGrip lists 3 business days, the BIC pen 3 to 5, most of the rest 5 to 7, the charging cable set 7 to 12 and the non-woven tote 7 to 14. Build your timeline around the slowest item you want, then add shipping and the advance warehouse deadline from your exhibitor manual.
Setup charges are listed on each product page before you order. On these picks they run from none on the BIC pen to $95 on the Mophie power bank, and most sit between $57 and $70. If the show is close, start with the 24 Hour Rush collection.
Getting your giveaways to the show
Large trade shows route exhibitor freight through an official contractor, with an advance warehouse date and a direct-to-show date in your exhibitor manual. Missing those dates usually means extra handling fees or boxes that arrive after the doors open. Tell us your show and we will ship to the warehouse, to your office or split the order between them.

Frequently asked questions
What are the best trade show giveaways?
The best trade show giveaways are items people use after the show. Totes, pens, charging cables, power banks, notebooks and good drinkware all get daily use, which keeps your logo in front of the people you met. In the ASI 2026/2027 Global Advertising Impressions Study, 78% of consumers said they keep promotional items because they are useful. Pick for your audience too: tech crowds like chargers and webcam covers, while retail buyers respond to quality brands.
How should I budget for trade show giveaways?
Split your budget into tiers instead of buying one item for everyone. Put most of your units into a low-cost item for general traffic, a smaller run of a mid-priced item for badge scans and demos, and a handful of premium items for your best meetings. Remember the one-time setup charge on most decorated items, which was usually between $47 and $72 on the products we checked.
How far ahead should I order trade show giveaways?
Check the production time on the product page first. On iPromo it ranges from 3 business days for a PopSockets PopGrip to 15 to 20 business days for some insulated bottles. Add shipping and the freight deadline in your exhibitor manual. For most shows, approving your proof four to six weeks out leaves enough room. For January shows like CES and NRF, aim for late November because of the holidays.
Can I get trade show giveaways with rush production?
Yes, on some items. The 24 Hour Rush collection covers products that can be turned around fast, and other product pages show whether rush service is available. If your show is close, tell us the date and quantity and we will suggest items that can make it.
Do trade show giveaways actually work?
They work when people keep them. The ASI study found that a promotional item earns an average of 3,300 impressions over its life, and that 76% of consumers are more likely to do business with an advertiser after receiving one. Giveaways also give your booth staff an easy reason to start a conversation and ask for a badge scan.
Will I see my logo on the product before it is made?
Yes. We send a free digital proof showing your logo on the product, sized and placed the way it will be printed. Nothing goes into production until you approve it, and you can ask for changes to size, placement or color before you sign off.
